Feb 24th, 2024, The Lantern Festival,  on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, marks the final significant event in the Chinese New Year customs.

We Celebrated the Lantern Festival together in Kunyu Mountain Shaolin Martial Arts Academy China. Besides the Chinese Kung Fu training, students can experience more on Chinese culture and its tradition.

The Lantern Festival : Originating from Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty's lighting of lanterns on the fifteenth day to honor the god Taiyi, it has been passed down for over two millennia, becoming a quintessential Chinese traditional holiday.

This festival revolves around activities such as lantern viewing, lighting, moon gazing, and riddle guessing, symbolizing the renewal of all things and the return of spring. The characteristic food of the Lantern Festival is  "tangyuan," signifying family reunion and harmony. It has become an integral part of the Chinese New Year customs, serving as a carnival for the entire society.
