What is your motivation to China ?
1 - I chose to study kung fu in China because of the rich history and culture surrounding the martial art in its country of origin. The opportunity to learn from authentic masters in an environment where kung fu is deeply rooted was a major motivation for me. Additionally, I was drawn to the discipline, physical fitness, mental focus, and self-improvement aspects that studying kung fu offers. The idea of immersing myself in the birthplace of this ancient art form and understanding its philosophy firsthand was a compelling reason for choosing China as the place to study Kungfu.
Benefits:
2-My greatest gain from my martial arts training at Kunyu Mountain Kung Fu Academy, as well as the optional classes, was the overall personal development and growth that I experienced. Through rigorous training, I not only improved my physical fitness, flexibility, and martial arts skills but also developed mental discipline, focus, and resilience. The environment at the academy, surrounded by like-minded individuals and dedicated instructors, pushed me to challenge myself and strive for continuous improvement.
Additionally, I gained a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture, history, and philosophy through my training at Kunyu Mountain Academy. Overall, my time at Kunyu Mountain Academy was transformative, helping me grow both physically and mentally, while also fostering a deeper connection to the rich traditions of martial arts and Chinese culture. 3- During my time in the academy, I was influenced and aided by shifu Xu and Romualdas who provided guidance, support, and valuable insights into my academic journey. The surroundings
5- The surroundings of the academy were captivating, with picturesque mountains and tranquil lakes providing a serene backdrop to the academic environment. The crisp, fresh air added to the overall sense of tranquility and offered a refreshing respite from the rigors of study. Yantai city itself was a vibrant and dynamic urban center, offering a blend of modern amenities and cultural heritage. Its bustling streets, diverse culinary scene, and rich history provided ample opportunities for exploration and immersion in local culture. Overall, the combination of natural beauty and urban vibrancy made the surrounding environment of the academy a truly unique and enriching experience. Thank you for everything

I started martial arts classes in the Netherlands with an amazing teacher. I really enjoy it but I missed some of the basics to be able to perform the forms. My husband was at Kunyu mountain before and said that it is a great place to learn and get better quickly. The main thing I gained is stamina and flexibility. I’ve also gained body awareness and can do stances with more ease.
A lot of people have helped me during my short time here. David helped me understand that hips can do more than just move sideways. Romca was a big help in understanding the form and how the movements are done. Urwan showed me that I’ve been falling wrong. And Angel helped me by being the sweetest human being. Being here was a lot of fun! I learned many new things and I’ve met a ton of cheerful and kind people.
We spend most of our time in the training hall and outside. In the courtyard there’s a beautiful view of the mountains and a loud cat that always needs attention. We want to come back next year and continue learning more things :)
