1. Why did I choose China to study Kung Fu?

I have practiced Kung Fu for many years and always dreamed of training at Kunyu Mountain Shaolin Kung Fu School in China, where I could learn not only the techniques but also the true essence of martial arts from experienced masters.

2. What is your greatest gain from your Kung Fu training?

I cannot say that this experience brought me just one benefit. It taught me the virtue of patience, the value of quality practice, and how to perform things with greater precision while learning new techniques. Yet beyond the technical knowledge, I will carry with me the kindness of the people, and above all, the warmth, humility, and simplicity of Shifu, the instructors, and the entire staff.

3. Who influenced and helped you during your period at the academy?

Each of you has been very kind and has supported me at different moments along the way. However, the guidance and support of Shifu, Coach Chin, and William have been fundamental to my martial arts and personal growth during my stay.

4. Brief summary of my experience at the academy

During my stay at the academy, I experienced many wonderful moments. First of all, the martial arts training experience was a dream come true, to the point that I never wanted to stop training and wished to be corrected constantly so I could learn even more. The training sessions were quite intense, which motivated me greatly to discover my limits.

The coaches and Shifu are of the highest quality. Their techniques and teaching methods are extremely enriching and inspiring. The translators are very kind and are always willing to help and support the students.

Overall, life at the academy is very good. The facilities, the food, and the conveniences for everyday needs, such as doing laundry, are all excellent.

5. What do you think about the surroundings of the academy?

I leave deeply in love with the mountains, the lakes, the people, the order, the safety, the transportation system, and the culture.

I hope to return with more time, discover many more things, and have the opportunity to share a dinner with the masters and coaches.

I will miss every inch of your country and its people. I hope I have left a good impression, both personally and as a martial artist. It would be an honor to hear your opinions and to know whether I have the potential to become a good martial artist.

I am leaving, but you have a great friend in me. You are always welcome in Colombia whenever you wish to visit, and if you do, my home will be open to you.

It was tough at first, but it soon became one of the best experiences of my life. Everyone was kind and welcoming.

Why China Kunyu mountain:

China is the birthplace of Kung Fu, so why not learn it at Kunyu Mountain Shaolin Kung Fu School? My mom suggested the idea of learning Kung Fu in China to me last year, and I immediately said yes because I enjoy exploring new places and meeting new people.

 Greatest gain :

I only use my phone for checking the time and setting alarms, which is very necessary if you want to take a power nap during the lunch break. I also did not buy an eSIM, so I could not even receive messages from my friends at home. Not using my phone and waking up early are two good habits I gained after my training here at Kunyu Mountain.

Summary:

Pretty much everything I learned here was taught to me by the masters and coaches. I also have to give credit to all the students because they are very supportive. Everyone here is trying to become a better version of themselves, and it is very contagious. It also helped me train harder.

Surroundings of the academy:

The surroundings of the academy are amazing. There are beautiful mountain views, and you can always go for a walk in nature to clear your mind.
