Why did I choose China to learn Kung fu?
I wanted to challenge myself to learn something completely new, something in what I have no experience. And then when I started to research, I thought: there’s no place better to learn Kung Fu than in the country where it comes from.
What is your greatest gain from your martial arts training?
Patience, to not give up, strength, endurance, calmness. Who influenced and helped you during your period in the academy?
The Shifus and coaches, and especially my friends here.
Brief summary of my experience in the academy:
My days began very early every morning with Tai Chi. I figured out that that’s the best way to start a day. After breakfast and cleaning, I had the first morning training. In the morning trainings we practiced our forms and did some stretching and warm up. Once a week we also had Acrobatics, which I enjoyed a lot. After lunch break our second training started. Playing basketball for warm-up was one of my highlights. Then we could choose between Sanda and Qi Gong. The evening I spent with my friends and went to bed early.
What do you think about the surroundings of the academy?
Extremely beautiful!!! Calm, perfect for walks, fresh air, in summers possible to swim. Still close enough to Muping for weekends.

My reviews of China Kunyu mountain Kung fu school:
Why China Kunyu mountain :China as the origin of Kung Fu is the only place to experience authentic culture, people, and shifus that learned Kung Fu over generations. It is far away from home soil, which is good to focus on Kung Fu training. Also, China is a good country to travel and experience, with nice people. Studying Kung Fu in this school made the experience more meaningful.
Your greatest gain from your martial arts training? My first pace Mantis Form, learning Qi Gong and Taichi as an important role in inner Kung Fu training. Also, calligraphy was great to get a feeling of the art and skill that is behind traditional Kung Fu culture.
Who influenced and helped : Everyone was kind and helpful in the Kung Fu school. Especially excellent students and long-term students helped a lot, as shifu and translators were busy when many students were in class and training.
Summary :It took me a week to adjust to school life, which is perfectly normal. During that time, everyone was very helpful, especially the translator who helped to communicate with masters. The training was very good and diverse, and I learned a lot in this Kung Fu school. The masters always try to get the best out of students during training.
Surroundings :The school is in a good place. The temple, mountains, and training hall are great and very suitable for Kung Fu training. Also, the air was good quality.
Thank you for one of the greatest times of my life and unforgettable memories in this Kung Fu school.

Why did I choose China to train Kungfu?
I came to China 37 years ago and I wanted to rediscover modern China and return to some places I had known. I decided to finish my day in the academy where I could study Qi Gong. I discovered that Qi Gong I practice in France isn’t the same as Qi Gong of the academy-It’s closer to Taiji- So I learned Taiji in the academy for the end of my days In China.
What is your greatest gain:The biggest advantage was the movement, the action, the activity, the sport, the discovery of other martial arts than Taiji, and meeting many different peoples.
Who influenced and helped you ?
All shifus and coach and students had a massive influence on me.
Brief summary : I really appreciated our Shifu, he helped me a lot in Taiji, as the coach Emil(very calm and patient), thanks to him. Jennifer was perfect and many students helped me find my beginnings very quickly and integrate easily- I appreciated the translators both the training sessions and the optional courses I attented. It’s also a very good thing to have a massage in the academy, he really relieved me.
Surroundings: I really enjoyed to walk in the mountains around the academy and see the river with colored caves. It was quiet and relaxing.
